Ndlopfu Shareblock is an exclusive “Big Five” Private Game Reserve bordering the Kruger Park and situated in the heart of the Lowveld. Our exclusivity is in the limited number of members, currently 27, with a maximum number of 32 when all 5 vacant stands are developed. This comparatively limited membership also means fewer vehicles on the roads and mostly undisturbed game viewing.

Most houses sleep 8 - 10, are well appointed, have their own secluded bomas, viewing decks, and have 360° views of either the river and or the surrounding bush. Members have access to our clubhouse, where there is a large swimming pool to enjoy on hot, summer days as well as a braai lapa and a TV lounge for keeping an eye on the latest sports results. The wifi hotspot on the verandah allows members to catch up on emails, while watching animals drink at the nearby waterhole.

The farm consists of just over 2500ha of Mopane and Combretum veld with a diversity of fauna and flora. With traversing rights on a further 350ha on a neighbouring farm, owners at Ndlopfu have close to 3000ha on which to game drive.

Ndlopfu is part of the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve which, in turn, is a member of the Associated Private Nature Reserves (APNR). This organisation includes Klaserie, Balule and Olifants to our west and Timbavati to our east. All of these reserves make up the 180 000ha of the Greater Kruger National Park.

Being part of this open system means that all of the big game species are seen on the farm regularly. Elephant and lion are seen almost weekly and herds of buffalo pass through often. The resident leopards show themselves to the patient game viewer. Wild dog, hippo and even cheetah are regular visitors. Many other small game species are a constant source of pleasure, and the birdlife is abundant.

The owners of Ndlopfu are fully committed to conservation and the farm is managed on a scientific basis under the management plan of the APNR/KNP. We work at reducing our environmental impact by re-cycling much of our waste through our re-cycling depot. Ndlopfu also participates in and makes contributions to scientific and conservation projects such as Elephants Alive, EWT Bird of Prey Working Group, Wild dog research and The Bataleurs voluntary flying service.
