Lions (13  July 2004)

One morning while getting ready to start work, Jamie heard Lion nearby, and decided to investigate. At the workshop entrance he came across 2 male
lion in the middle of the road. A couple of shareholders were able to share this sighting with Jamie, before they moved off onto Cass and then were spotted one more time in the riverbed.

Shortly afterwards 5 young males were found in the rain near The Cass access road.

Two male lion were found at Peru Dam, and these lion were closely persued by the 2 large Sohebele males. They walked from Peru Dam, past the Marula Tree, down the Klaserie cutline and then dissappeared into Klaserie, but non the less provided some of us with spectalar viewing.

A Lion and Lioness were spotted lying next to the water at Big Dam. Both of them were very thin, and this could have been due to their mating procedure
which left no time for hunting.
