Rangers Diary

Jan06 to Jan 12 - Week 02 (2  January 2002)

The warthog and her three piglets have been on the lawn everyday. A pair of Woodland Kingfishers are very busy in the garden and have pushed the Lilac Breasted Roller out of their territory. 2 young elephant bulls were seen crossing the open area and moving into Cass Argyle. A herd of 10 wildebeest with two calves were seen below unit 55 they were in the company of a herd of impala. There was a kudu killed by lion on Cass Argyle, the lionesses were there with their cubs and a large male was also in attendance. The elephant were at the Big Dam on a daily basis taking a bath and pretending to be hippo. An elephant bull had to be chased away from the swimming as well as aMozambican spitting cobra from the house.
