Dec 27 to Jan 05 Week 01 (31  December 2001)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! To all Shareholders, friends, family and visitors to Ndlopfus’ website. May it be a healthy wealthy and exciting one.The year started with a herd of buffalo on New Years day. Hyaena were seen on various occasions at Yankee dam and the small dam next to unit 46, they were totally submersed with only their heads above water. This was to do with the heat and to get away from the insects that were probably bothering them. Lion were on the airstrip and looked as if they had made a kill nearby as they looked well fed. Lion was also heard during the week. The two leopard were again spotted at Big Dam near the Nyala tree. The bachelor herd of kudu, some with magnificent horns, were seen. A leguaan was spotted being hunted by a python – the result not known. 2 Ground Hornbill seen on the airstrip. Vultures were roosting in the trees on the Ntsiri boundary.
